No author. WESTERN BOOKS [EXHIBITION 1938-1963]. Los Angeles: The Rounce & Coffin Club 1938-1963. 22 consecutive annual volumes (various sizes, all pamphlets, each 20pp. – 36pp.). Complete through 1963. Profusely illustrated. No exhibition was published in 1940, 1943, 1944, and 1945. 8 of the years have a water stain along the spine. OFFERED WITH: TWENTY YEARS OF WESTERN BOOKS. Sacramento: Crocker Art Gallery. 1959. In all, 23 volumes. A distinguished series of publications, a juried annual selection of the best printed books by Western presses. The annual pamphlet illustrating the books selected was sold at the travelling exhibition of the books. The series continued to 2005, when it ceased (The Rounce & Coffin Club officially ceased in 2007). Notably the volumes were well printed by some of the best printers in the West: Adrian Wilson The Greenwood Press, The Plantin Press, Ward Ritchie Press, The Castle Press, etc., etc.
