Count Leopold von Berchtold (1759–1809) was a bohemian royal who gave up his post to travel the world to help humanity. He traveled Europe for 13 years and Asia and Africa for 4 years to find and alleviate suffering. The Count visited cities battling the plague and even helped treat the infected.
Instructions for the countries of the Levant and points east on how to deal with the plague (which had already been eradicated in Europe). In case you are wondering, the cure to the plague is lathering oneself in olive oil. This first Italian edition was published in the same year as the original German.
