Originally written in Spanish, contemporary report on the Schmalkaldic War of 1546 — 1547, here in the first German translation from 1552. The author was Luis de Avila y Zuniga (ca. 1490 – ca. 1560), a Spanish historian, ambassador in Rome, Grand Commander of the Order of the Knights of Alcantara and a witness to the events of the war.
