1960s German-Israel Relations

DISkussion

Berlin: Deutsch-Israelische Studiengruppe an der Freien Universität Berlin, June 1966–October 1967. Collection of five issues. A4 sized magazine format; range of 24–32 pp. each. In German. The following issues are currently available: 19 through 23 (all issues from June 1966–October 1967). Contains an extensive set of articles on German-Israel relations, especially as to the remnants of National Socialism endemic to German institutions during the 1960s (the [“brown university”]). The Palestinian question is presented from a pro-Israel (but rather balanced) perspective. The German-Israeli Student Group (which published this magazine) sought to establish standard diplomatic relations between Israel and West Germany. A scarce publication with most holdings in the United States very incomplete. Priced as a set, but individual issues available to round out a collection at $65/each.
