Cont. polished calf, rebacked, with the original gilt backstrips laid down. Corners of boards worn. Some light foxing, but overall very good. Bookplate of the ​“Colinton House Library” in each volume. The Colinton House was once the principal residence of the Foulis family in Scotland. On the front pastedown of Volume 1 is a brief inscription in 1921 from the owner of Colinton House, at that time, T. M. Trotter.
