The book is divided into two parts: Part 1 covers brewing theory; part 2 covers practical instruction. In German. Illustrated with 311 (!) woodcuts, 146 in part 1 and 165 in part 2 (mostly of the newest brewing technology). 

Very good with medium to heavy rubbing of calf; interior lightly browned but crisp.

Scarce wonderfully illustrated brewery school textbook. In the heavy-weight class, with over 800 total pages and 311 illustrations this book covers every imaginable practical and theoretical aspect of one of humanities oldest activities: brewing beer. 

At the time of cataloguing, no other copy of this edition for sale. Per OCLC this edition not held outside of Germany or Switzerland. In the United States, other editions are only at a handful of libraries. New for us: Anheuser-Busch Co. Library reports to OCLC; they hold a different edition of the book.
