Ring binder with faux wood cover; title on first two interior pages; [20] pp. With 52 original photographs; 3 by 5½ inches, two photographs 7 by 9½ inches. Very small amount of text, in French; a few labels in Vietnamese. Album corners bumped and ring binding bent. Interior photos very good plus.

This photo album documents the hand-over of tractors and other agricultural resources by UNHCR personnel to refugees of the Vietnam war. The album was made by the Vietnamese aid recipients as a gift to the United Nations representative. The photos depict both various ceremonies and the equipment in use.
Many Vietnam war era photo albums are military ones; this one revolves around assistance and help to those so greatly affected by the conflict. The United Nations High Comissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is the refugee agency of the United Nations. Formed in 1950, it is tasked with protecting refugees and those forcibly displaced by war around the world.
