Several woodcut diagrams of chess board positions. 19th c. 1⁄2 calf, gilt, dark brown calf spine label, over cloth. Some light rubbing and a small, round paper label on front cover. Approx. 50 blank leaves have been bound in at rear, presumably for notes. Bookplate of Albert Parsons Sachs on front pastedown.
