Franz Oppenheimer (1864–1943) was a German Jewish sociologist and political economist, who published in the area of the fundamental sociology of the state. In this article he discusses wages, migration, the urban labor market and the impact of unions. Felix Guggenheim (1904–1976) was a German American publisher and literary agent in Los Angeles.
