This festschrift celebrates the life and career of one of Germany’s most esteemed postwar publishers, Willy Droemer (1911–2000). With testimonials from European and American authors, including James Clavell, Irving Wallace, Irving Stone, Jacques Cousteau, Norman Mailer, etcetera. Lovingly inscribed by Droemer to publisher and literary agent Felix Guggenheim (1904–1976) in German:
“To my good friend, Felix Guggenheim, to whom I owe so much professionally and human respect as hardly any other person in this world. With gratitude. Willy. Munich. July 1971.” (trans.)
