Legendary Israeli General Mordechai “Motta” Gur (1930–1995) was Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces during the Six-Day War (1967). In this book he tells the story of Azeet, a German shepherd who was part of the Israeli army paratroop unit. Inscribed to Los Angeles publisher and literary agent Felix Guggenheim (1904–1976) and his wife actress Evelyn Holt (1908–2002).
