Bologna: Ex Officina Vulpiana, 1840–1843. Folio. 3 vols in 1. (4),80,(4);(4),80,(2);(4),80,(2)pp. Each vol. with the same copper engraved allegorical frontispiece and engraved title page vignette. Vols. for 1840 and 1841 have a folding polar projection map of the norther4n hemisphere, showing the predicted paths of eclipses for the coming year. Orig. calf (some chipping at spine extremities) over marbled boards, black calf spine label. This famous series for the meridian of Bologna, calculated positions of astronomical bodies for every day of the year at noon. The series was published for the years 1817–1844, inclusive, under the auspices of the Reale Accademia delle Scienze dell’Instituto di Bologna.
